PESIAMS aims to fulfill its vision and mission by providing all its stake holders with the widest possible resources in digital, non-digital & print medium. The library provides the students & teaching community the relevant information to upgrade and polish their knowledge in order to compete and sustain in this competitative world. The committed staff of the library assists the knowledge mongers in locating, navigating and accessing the high quality information resources.
The College library which has been functioning on the first floor of the building since2008 has a reading room for students that accommodates 100 students at a time. There is a separate stack for reference books & a separate stack for other books. The physical and digital collection of all the knowledge reserves of the library including housekeeping is automated with “LIBSOFT” software package which has paved way for the open access to the stack.
The PESIAMS library thrives to strengthen and enhance the teaching, learning and research areas of the students as well as the teaching community. The library facilitates to provide the future generation enough materials for their intellectual growth with critical evaluation skill in well-equipped physical space. The learning space of the institution recognizes and values diversity of the learners’ interest and accordingly develops and provides the resources in consultation with of all faculty members of different departments. The library’s watch word is to support and enhance the academic, professional, cultural and lifelong learning needs of the students with proper resources, technology and the necessary support for the success in accomplishing the aforesaid mission.
Online public access catalogue provides search facility to locate books and other materials available in the library.
The Central Library has 20 computers with LAN connectivity. Users can avail previous years examinations question papers, syllabus and institutional repositories.
Library subscribed 14 databases access to over 6197 E-journals are provided to the users. E-Resource is provided in-campus and off-campus facility.
Central library arranges to borrow documents, which are not available in its collection, on inter library loan from other libraries for academic and research purpose.
